15 April 2021 – Alicia Connolly, Finance Manager for AVIE Records since 2017, has been promoted to the position of Finance Director, effective immediately. She will report to AVIE’s CEO Melanne Mueller.

Prior to joining AVIE, Alicia was Accounts & Finance Administrator at the London-based Branding Consultancy Clear, a division of international advertising M&C Saatchi Group. She has also provided management accounting services to a variety of sectors including charities and retail.

Mueller comments, “Alicia combines a passion for creative industries with analytical precision, a rare amalgamation that is a perfect fit with the AVIE ethos. Instrumental to the growth of the label over the past four years, promoting her to Finance Director was a no-brainer.”

Alicia comments, “I am delighted to have the opportunity to further contribute to AVIE’s growth, improving and refining our financial systems during a time of fluid change in the record industry. Working for AVIE has been a hugely satisfying learning curve. I appreciate the freedom and fulfilment of working within AVIE’s unique artist-ownership model.”

Additionally, Mueller has announced the appointment of Sarah Kirk to the new position of Business and Contracts Administrator. Sarah brings to the label a diverse background in the civil and criminal sectors, and has previously worked for the crown prosecution service and Biscoes Solicitors.

Mueller comments, “I’m delighted to welcome Sarah to AVIE, further consolidating the team as the label approaches its milestone 20th anniversary. Her experience dealing with employment and human resources, contracts and business administration, provides a new facet to the team.”
