The RLPO is the UK's oldest professional orchestra. To this day, the organization continues to set trends, including the establishment of the first orchestra-own record label, RLPO Live, in 1999. RLPO Live allied with Avie Records in 2005, a fruitful association that has produced over ten releases.
The most recent is a collaboration with composer Jon Lord, erstwhile founding keyboard player of rock band Deep Purple, whose work To Notice Such Things (Avie Records AV 2190) has achieved wide-spread critical acclaim, including an Editor's Choice from Gramophone, and reached Number 2 in the UK Classical Chart.
MusicCo implemented a media campaign for the release of To Notice Such Things, resulting in features and interviews in The Daily Telegraph, Classic FM, Gramophone and KDFC-San Francisco, among other outlets.
